How Much Fiber Do I Need to Eat?

At present there is no official recomended daily allowance (RDA) for dietary fiber. However, official guidelines advise about 20-25g of fiber per day, for both men and women.

It is best to get your dietary fiber naturally from high-fiber foods rather than from bran or general fiber supplements.

PS. Fiber is sometimes known as Non-starch polysaccharides (NSP).
