Karate (“empty hands”) martial art is a Japanese form of self defence. Punching, striking and blocking techniques are used, incorporating laws of physics to increase power.
Tae Kwon Do martial art is a Korean method of self defence. Similar to karate, Tae Kwon Do workouts place stronger emphasis on footwork.
Kung Fu is a Chinese martial art. Similar to karate, kung fu workouts entail the use of fists, weapons, kicking, hitting, throwing, holding, chopping and thrusting.
Judo, is a Japanese sport and method of training similar to wrestling. Judo workouts use the principle of balance and leverage adapted from Jujitsu.
Aikido is a Japanese martial art that resembles the fighting methods of Jujitsu and Judo in its utilization of twisting and throwing techniques.
Hapkido is a Korean martial art. It aims to redirect your opponent’s aggressive force by using circular motions. It uses locking, throws, take-downs and dynamic kicking techniques similar to those of Tae Kwon Do.
