  • Increase your intake of zinc by adding more of the following foods to your daily diet: oysters (expensive but very rich in zinc!), lean steak, pork loin, wheatgerm, brewer’s yeast, pumpkin seeds, eggs.
  • Add extra vitamin C to your diet and improve your resistance to infection by eating more of the following foods: citrus fruit, kiwi fruit, blueberries.
  • Add wheatgerm, soybeans, broccoli, Brussels sprouts and eggs for their vitamin E.
  • Add extra carrots to your meals, for their vitamin A, which has antioxidant benefits.
  • Snack on half a dozen Brazil nuts for their selenium content. Selenium improves immunity by boosting the effectiveness of vitamin E.
