Air Pollution & Exercise

Air Pollution & Exercise – for people with heart disease

According to a new study in Circulation: Journal of the American Heart Association, people with heart disease should think twice about exercising in polluted air.

Tests showed that when air pollution was high, people with heart disease who exercised were about three times more likely to have decreased oxygen supply to their heart muscle than when air pollution was negligible.

Point is, a decreased oxygen supply to heart muscles can cause heart strain.
