Weight Loss Program
Hi Anne,
Just wanted to say - from the bottom of my heart - your diet is simply
awesome... Great value, unbelievable support... no other Internet diet
program I've ever tried comes close... you are so unbelievably REAL!!!

Dear Anne:
Today, I reached my long term goal of losing 30 pounds!!!!!!!!.. I'm so
excited and so thrilled. Tomorrow is my 17th wedding anniversary. My husband,
is taking me out to dinner to our favorite inn... (first time I'm eating
out since beginning my diet -- I already checked out your eating out pages
and will be very careful). Anyway, I had a black semi-formal dress in
my closet that I haven't been able to wear. In fact, the tags are still
on the dress. Well, today is fits -- beautifully. I'm going to wear it
tomorrow. Thanks, Anne, for your lessons on healthful eating, and most
of all, your encouragement. I intend to stay on the diet as I hope to
lose a little more weight, but also because the diet has really become
a new way of eating, a habit for everyday life. God bless you!

I had a cholesterol screening yesterday at Fred Meyer pharmacy. Blood
is from a finger poke vs. a blood draw but the technician said accuracy
is within a few points. Since starting the cholesterol lowering diet 11
weeks ago: total cholesterol, down 39 points to 197; triglicerides, down
28; HDL (good cholesterol), about the same; LDL (bad cholesterol), down
29 points with a total cholesterol/HDL ratio of 3.8 instead of 4.14. I'm
delighted with my progress...

I would like to thank you for your motivational tips and diet solutions!
I am a 28yr old male hispanic, 5ft 4in. In two months, my weight and body
stats have changed from 139 pounds, 20 percent body fat, 34 inch waist
- to 125 pounds, 13 percent body fat, and 31 inch waist. My activity level
has remained constant: lightly active (1-2 hours at the gym a week weightlifting,
light running)...

Well, this is my fourth week on the low glycemic diet and I lost 4 pounds
this week. That's a total of 12 pounds and I actually feel better. I went
to the doctor last week and she reduced my insulin dosages, which is terrific...

Just a quick update for you. As of today, July 22, I am down 90 pounds
to 180. I have not been this lean since I was 18 years old. I will be
51 in 9 days!

I am about 5 foot 9, and was weighing 182 pounds. My doctor had just told
me that the constant pain in my low back was arthritis and that losing
weight would be important to minimizing the effects of the disease over
time. Last Friday... he was stunned to look at my chart and see that I
now weigh 150 pounds! He applauded my effort. Thank you for your diet.

I have been on the low glycemic diet for high blood glucose readings.
I have lost from 176#'s to 168#'s this morning, so I feel like it has
been successful. Thank you so much! This has been to only place I have
been able to get a menu plan with enough detail that I could follow it
without spending a massive amount of time planning...

Hi Anne,
I went for a fitness assessment when I started your weight loss program
and then was reassessed last week, after 6 weeks. The chap doing the test
redid all measurements twice and then called in another one to check.
5th April
hips 110cm
waist 82cm
abdomen 92cm
19th May
hips 100cm
waist 72cm
abdomen 80cm
If you count the loss off my thighs &
calves, I've lost 15 inches in 6 weeks! That is despite exercising 5 or
6 days a week. Having started off in a very snug 14 (UK size), I'm now
in a loose 12.

Anne:
Just wanted you to know that I've continued to enjoy tremendous success
with the weight loss program. When I first purchased your diet back in
January of this year, I weighed 151.5 pounds (which was a bit much for
my 5'4" frame). I was very uncomfortable closing my size 12 pants
and skirts and needed to either lose weight or start accepting the concept
of wearing size 14. I arbitrarily set a goal of 125 pounds and to do it
by my birthday on June 4th. By my birthday, I had dropped to 133 pounds
and was astonished to realize that I really didn't need to lose any more
weight. I looked fabulous, that I was fitting into my old size 8s and
10s, the 10s were comfortably loose, the 8s a bit tight but certainly
presentable. I'm now at 131 pounds; officially 20 lbs lighter than when
I started. My cholesterol dropped 78 points, and my doctor is no longer
threatening to make me start taking drugs to reduce it. I'm happily maintaining
my current weight and having no trouble with that. I have no need to lose
any more. I can now occasionally treat myself to fattier foods (like pizza
or ice cream or a little extra butter on my bread) without worrying that
I'll never look good or be healthy again....Thanks again for having been
there. It really helped.

Dear Anne
I signed up today and feel compelled to write to you after having read
a number of your very fine weight loss motivational articles. They run
contrary to the 'good girl/bad girl' stuff that I have been punishing
myself with all these years. They are direct and powerful in their brevity,
but they also communicate a sense of love and forgiveness. I know it may
sound amazing, but I never realized until now the huge part that 'attitude'
plays in the success or failure to lose weight.

Anne - You Are Wonderful!
My name is Michelle and I'm in the USA. I just started your weight loss
program this week (first week of the rest of my life)! I haven't run into
any problems yet, but I've taken precautions (healthy snacks in my cubby
at work!). I wanted to tell you that you have absolutely opened my eyes.
I've done diet pills, fasting, Atkins, the different commercial diets,
and nothing worked because I always felt deprived. When I found your diet,
I almost passed it up, but I started to read everything you said and it
made perfect sense. Then I became a member, and was almost in awe because
I identified everything you said about that wicked cycle of feeling desperate,
then dieting for a few weeks, then the hopelessness, the binge, and back
to square one. I've always had a weight problem, when I was 12 I weighted
in at 180lbs. The thinnest I've ever been in my 26 years is 150lbs, that
was when I was 19 and had just stopped about 9 months of phentermine.
Now, I'm about 240lbs and 5ft 6in (was 260lbs in 8/03), and haven't been
about to get past the 200 mark. But after reading I realized I'm the one
who wants to lose 60lbs in 4 months. I will not do that ever again. I'd
rather lose 100lbs in one year than 30 in a month to just regain it back
and some. Your tips are fantastic! I've never read anything more truthful
(the truth DOES hurt!); I feel enlightened! I will make sure to keep you
posted on my progress; I'm so excited, more than I've ever been before
because I know that this is it. I can do this. It feels good and healthy
and I'm not starving!!

Anne!
I started your plan just over a week ago, weight last Tuesday was 236
pounds. This morning was a shock, my weight today is 210 pounds!!! This
is a terrific flying start! So I shall raise my glass to you tonight!
Cheers!

Anne,
Just a note to say how much I appreciate your advice. I'm soon to be 58
and at 5'4" have managed to lose almost 20 lbs since last July when
my doctor told me my triglycerides were over 780 and cholesterol was 280
also (sugar was up around that to). At that time I weighed in at 206 lbs
(so now I'm 186). I've still got a long way to go figuring I'll be happy
around 150. I was hungry a lot in the beginning but now I eat more but
just watching for low or no fat, no salt and low sugar food. I appreciate
your no spam email and best of all your free support. I think you're a
real life saver (I know I'm a walking heart attack if I didn't stop my
old lifestyle) so thank you again.

Anne,
I wanted to email you last week but didn't get a chance. I have lost 10
lbs. as a result of finding your plan and following it. I have been on
this for almost 2 and a half months and I am sure if I hadn't found it
I would have gained another 10 or at least been the same weight. I am
happy to have lost 10 (even tho most people who have dieted that long
would have lost 20 lbs.)and I am thankful, so thankful to have found your
plan and I am determined to continue on. I am happy with your plan because
it allows me the flexibility that I am not depriving myself of bread and
other things. Some "diets" I have heard of do not even allow
a person to have fruit. I have made it through Thanksgiving and am looking
forward to more success after the new year. I will let you know then.
Happy Holidays and thank you so much!!!
