Here is a sample menu from Anne Collins UK Balanced Slimming Diet. Depending on your gender and how much weight you have to lose, you may increase the standard calorie-intake up to 2000+ calories per day, by choosing from a wide range of calorie-controlled snacks/extras.

Breakfast

Option 1
Cereal, Nuts & Toast
30g Cornflakes/Special K, 150ml fat-free milk, 4 chopped walnuts, i slice wholemeal toast, 1 tsp marmalade.

Option 2
Orange Juice & Cereal Bar
250ml orange juice, breakfast/cereal bar (170 calories).

Lunch

Convenience Option
Chicken Burger, Pitta, Salad & Fruit
Grill 1 Birds Eye Chicken Burger, pack into a 6" pitta, top with 1 tbsp tomato relish, sliced tomato, cucumber and lettuce, 1 serving fruit.

Home Option
Baked Potato, Beans, Cheese & Salad
125g baked potato, topped with 150g baked beans and 25g grated reduced-fat cheese, with 2 mugs of salad, 1 tbsp fat-free dressing. Plus 1 serving of fruit.

Convenience Option
Frozen Meal - Chicen Teriyaki (or calorie-equivalent)
Lean Cuisine Chicken Teriyaki (290 calories), 2 mugs of salad, 1 tbsp fat-free dressing. Plus 1 serving of fruit.

Recipe Option
Chicken Nuggets, Fries, Salad & Fruit
Ingredients: 100g skinless chicken breast, 1/4 mug crushed cornflakes, 1 egg white, pepper, 125g potato. Serve with 2 mugs salad and 1 tbsp fat-free dressing. Plus 1 serving fruit.
